Tahoma Football Summer 2021

posted Jun 25, 2021, 10:33 AM by Tony Davis

Summer practices to prepare for the Fall 2021 season will begin on Tuesday, June 29th. We will practice on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays through July 15th (9 total practices).

CLEARANCE TO PRACTICE - In order to participate in the practices, the players will need to be registered and cleared on FamilyID. The link and steps can be found at tahomaathletics.com. There are no fees for summer football but fines will need to be paid and a current physical (good for two years) on file before players can be cleared. PLAYERS WILL NEED TO GET CLEARED AGAIN ON FAMILYID FOR AUGUST PRACTICES.

PRACTICES - We will start with 4:30 meetings & walk throughs in the stadium at the high school. Practice will run from 5:00-7:15. Players are expected to be on time and attend both the meetings and practices. UNTIL WE HEAR OTHERWISE, PLAYERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS AT MEETINGS AND PRACTICES

EQUIPMENT - We provide the equipment the players will need - they just need to supply the cleats. If they don't have cleats, talk with one of the coaches and we may be able to help find a pair. Players will be issued a practice jersey and pair of shorts on the first day and the rest of their gear will be issued after practice on the following days - Seniors and juniors on Tuesday 6/28, sophomores on Wednesday 6/29 and freshmen on Thursday 7/1. Plan on about 45 minutes for the gear to be fitted and passed out.

TEAM CAMP - We will be hosting a team camp at Tahoma HS July 22-24. Local schools will join us for practices and team drills with Saturday being a scrimmage day. In order for players to participate in scrimmages against other teams at the camp, they are required to have completed at least 7 days of practice. The other teams at the camp: Kentlake, Kentwood, Kent Meridian, Thomas Jefferson, Todd Beamer, Auburn Mountainview, and Foster. Our parent group is covering the fees for the camp. We'll send out the final schedule once it's completed and confirmed.
